Purrs 4 Peace Week 46: I Will Only Accept Total and Complete Health!

This week’s purr is specifically about healing from FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease)...and generally for healing as to any sickness, disease or injury. But I wanted to focus on FLUTD because it is obviously very much a concern for me and mummy as this is apparently what caused me to have a health crisis this week and become blocked. FLUTD is serious and if untreated can result in death. It is very common particularly in male cats. Please be aware of the signs to look for in your cat babies:

* Prolonged squatting or straining in or out of the litter box and not producing urine or only a small amount

* Frequent urination or straining
* Pain while urinating.

* Blood in the urine

* Urinating outside of the litter box

* Frequent licking of the genital area

* Vomiting

• Depression

In my case the babysitter noticed I was a little tender in the hindquarters and seemed reluctant to jump. She thought I hurt a leg or that it was some old stiffness from when I was injured as kitten before rescue. But turns out it was soreness and tenderness in kidneys and bladder.

Anyway.....I am never going to have this problem again. I am healed and healthy and looking forward to at least twenty more wonderful years (JUST HAD MY 5TH BIRTHDAY).
